Applying a Linear Trend line to a data series in a reportnet chart

Has anyone any ideas about how I may apply a linear trend line to a data set in a reportnet chart. (Simple to do in excel) We have worked out how to apply a moving average trend line but are struggling with linear lines.

Any help appreciated.
