Environment - Cognos 8.4, Report Studio

I have a situation where I have 2 prompt pages.  The first prompt page needs only appear based on a certain variable.  If the variable condition is not met then I don't want to display it.

I have created the variable and set the render value of the prompt page, but am not getting what I expected.

The variable states if the return from the query is "running" then display the prompt page.  If it is not "running" then don't display the prompt page.  There is a second prompt page that always displays.

The promblem I am having is that if the first prompt page doesn't render, I only get a blank screen and can not continue.  It almost seems as if the prompt page is being renders completely blank and there is not way to get to the next prompt page.

Anyone seen this behavior before?

Hey. I tried out a sample report based on your scenario; and it works perfectly for me. I would just say you check the expression used for the conditional variable.
