Hi all:

I'm trying to use the uncommitted read for all my powercubes, and the only way I've found is to change each of our IQDs to get them use this isolation level.

Do you know if there is any configuration param to get all the transformer connections to use the Uncommitted read isolation level (maybe in the cognos.ini or trnsfrmr.ini file, or in Configuration Manager). I'm goning crazy with this, but no solution found.

Thank you in advance.
Luis.

Hello,

Are you using Cognos 8 environment? (Cognos connection, Analysis Studio etc..)

If so did you check if you could change setting on the database connection that is present in the Cognos administration tools of the portal. There you should be able to change the isolation level for all the studios (including and Transformer) that use the connection in question.
What database do you access? .... I have some trouble to do this on a Microsoft SQL server 2000 ... I had to do other stuff ... but I will explain it later if needed. With SQL server 2005 or Oarcle it should be simple like that ... changing the isolation level of your connection.
