Filters on First/Second Level and passing parameters

Hello,
For most of our reports, we have filters on the first level and passing parameters are pretty straight forward.
However, in this case the filters exist at the second level. So parameters must be passed from the first level to the prompt page on the second level. This could be a little tricky because the data has multiple conditional blocks (Region, GSC, Asset Status, Process Area) and the right parameters for each of the blocks are passed when the user clicks on the drill through.

Each level in the GAA reports have a filter that is hidden. If you select 'View hidden objects' when the report is opened in report studio, you would notice a filter on the top left and that is what is being used to pass the parameter selected in the drop-down (region, GSC, asset status, process area) to the next levels. I think it would be tricky to pass the parameters from 'Asset Report' level to 'Asset Detail' (the one that has the all the filters)level, but it should be alright to pass them from 'Asset Detail' level to 'Asset to Lease and PO' level.

If it does not work then do we have to consider a completely different solution and re-write the reports by having different reports for the drill-through instead of having conditional blocks?

Anyone able to help me out on this one?
Thanks so much!! ;D
