Cryptography problem - CSK folder not being generated

I've searched the Cognos site, spoken to support, searched on here and can't find an answer to this one.  I installed Framework Manager onto a PC, went to save the settings in  Cognos Configuration on that PC and got a red cross on Cryptographic errors.  The JAR problem has been sorted so we are definitely using 1_2_2.  The encryptkeypair and signkeypair folders are being created OK but there is not sign of CSK.  I have checked the parameters in Cognos Configuration and they look OK.  I have tried re-installing FM but I'm still getting the problem.

Anyone got an idea?

Desperado

copy the three folders enkrypt keypair, singekeypair and CSK from <crnlocation> configuration and paste it in <FM location>configuation. that will resolve the issue with FM.

I have tried copying them over but it makes no difference.  One thing I have spotted is that the Cryptographic area of Cognos Config on the CRN server has an extra question that says "Create symmetric key store?" with the answer True.  On the Framework Manager PC, this question does not appear.  It sounds as if this could be a clue but I need to know if that question should be on the FM PC or only on the server?

r u installing FM in a different machine ? if so did u check the URI's ? r they pointingto the server machine ?  when u r saving the cognos configuration window , r u getting the cryptographic error ? check in <FM LOCATION>\bin\jre\etc folder. did u find jce1_2_2 there ? if jce1_2_1 is still there delete it and then try saving the cognos configuration window.

Desperado - Yes I have installed Framework Manager on a different machine.  Yes the URLs in Cognos Config are pointing at the server.  Yes I am getting the cryptographic error when I try to save the configuration on the FM PC.  Yes, I have already got Jce1_2_2 in place and 1_2_1 has been deleted.

I could still do with the answer to the question:  should the questions "Create the symmetric key store?" appear on the FM machine when looking at Cognos Config, Cryptography as the second question?  It is on  the server but not on my FM PC.
