Cognos 8.3 test environment all on one pc windows based

Hi All,

I am newbie in Cognos 8.3 and I would like to set up a test environment to get skilled in report and query studio.
All I did so far is :
1) Installing all cognos components (everything is fine)
2) Installing and configuring Apache web server (OK..I can connect to the cognos connection web portal)
3) I also have run the cognos configuration and the default cognos content store is the default derby db.

Now I would like to install oracle XE (always in the same machine) and replace my default content store with it. The goal is to load the cognos samples and get confident with report and query studio. (Once I loaded these samples)

Here my doubts :

1) Do I need to uninstall "cognos content database", being related to derby db?
2) Once I have installed oracle xe, I guess that I need to change the content store, don't I?
3) Once I have imported all dmp samples in the oracle db, which parameter I need to type to configure a new data source under cognos administration?

Yesterday, I already had installed an oracle db, but I got stuck during the creation of a new data source in the cognos administration...

Could an expert suggest me what I need to do step by step ?

Alex, Did you figure out the solution of this issue? I also need to set-up a test environment on windows and i also got he same situation. can you please post the solution or any other way to use oracle/SQL db?
