I have a DCube where I'm trying to create an allocation table, some of the items in the Dlist are going to be mapped to others but I want the default to be themselves, is it possible to set this up automatically such that if there is no reference in the DCube just use the Dlist item reference?

I dont believe that you can apply a default.

A couple of suggestions

1, What you could look at doing is creating a "Substitute" internal D-Link.  You would then use this link to apply the default value on no data.
2, Create a dimension with three items.  Item 1 = default value, updated if you add ne items to the other D-List, Item 2 = specific values, Item 3 - conditional calculation to provide the values you would then  use in the allocation table.
