Exporting to Excel

All,

I am experiencing two problems when Exporting a list report to excel:

1.  In Excel the column height of the report is set to 4.5 making the data barely visible.

2.  The report header and footer is placed in the body of the sheet as opposed to the header/footer in Excel. 

Any information/workarounds that you can provide on either of these problems will be truly appreciated.
