How to configure Audit databse for Cognos8?

I would like to configure Audit databse for Cognos8.  Under IBM Cognos Configuration :- Environment-Logging-New Resource-destination-(Tye:-Database). I  ahve creates an Audit database. Right now login is happening in a log file. How can i configure logservice so that it will start putting log information in Audit databse rather than log file

There is very extensive documentation on this topic located on the IBM Cognos support site.  I'd suggest reading through that documentation as it gets complicated.

1. Log into Cognos Connection
2. Go to Cognos Administration
3. Click the Configuration tab, and then click Dispatchers and Services.
4. Under the Actions column, beside http://<machine_name>:9300, click Set properties, and then click the Settings tab.
5. Under the Value column, set the logging level to BASIC for all services and the dispatcher, and then click OK.
6. Repeat steps 4 & 5 to set the same logging levels for other registered dispatchers.
7. Log off.
8. Log onto your SQL Server or other data warehouse application and check out the tables in the Audit database. If you

cognos_guru is correct, you will want to go through the documentation for this.....

you'll want to research the level of logging you require, and setting up the xml datasource to track logins is a little tricky.
