Dear All,

When I import metadata for tables from db2 (mainframe), the transformer metadata wizard returns below error message.

RQP-DEF-0177 An error occurred while performing operation 'sqlOpen' status='-9'.
UDA-SQL-0107 A general exception has occurred during the operation "AOpen".
[IBM][CLI Driver][DB2] SQL0443N Routine "SQLSTATISTICS" (specific name "SQLSTATISTICS")
has returned an error SQLSTATE with diagnostic text "-805 <server name>". SQLSTATE=38112

The error is thrown in the last step of the wizard. It lets the tables to be selected in earlier steps.
The user id used here has read only access to the tables.
Cognos version 8.3

If anyone has come across this error, can you  pls share the solution.
It looks like certain access permission is required on db2. What is appropriate level of access?

thanks in advance.

Guys,

The issue is resolved by the dba. Apparently it was some versioning problem between db2 client and server and resolved by rebind.

Thanks
