As it seems that there are no people (in some cases a few) finding my tutorials usefull I'm no longer going to create tutorials. I thought they could be helpfull...But I was wrong.  :-\
otherwise they would have left me a message of what they think about my tutorials.

As I would have liked to help you all, I'm not going to create a tutorial just for one or two persons...
For those who left me a message about what they thought of the tutorials:

Thank you all very much!! I really liked to read you responses.

And for those people who ACCIDENTALLY happened to visit my website the last 24 hours (+/- 48 )
I hope they also become a member of this board....

With regards,

Strangely enough... now I'm getting replies.. :S
But apparently there are only 4 users from this forum that visit my tutorials (strange btw.. I had 48 visitors yesterday) and as I develop my tutorials for this forum only I'm stopping.. Sorry... It would have been nice but apparently someone is showing off with my tutorials...

your tutorials are very helpful, as well as this forum. There are not a lot of information and help about cognos at all. Thank you very much all for your help. I visit your tutorial and this forum sites every day- and I learn a lot especial from tutorials.

I am sorry to see you end your tutorials, they really help someone who is newer to ReportNet and needs to learn more.  I liked your more recent one on Gauges, I am hopeing to use it in future if I can get the xml files transferred to the closed system where I have to develop the reports.  I consider myself very good at ReportNet Report Authoring, but where I need help now is the modeling.  I need to know how to tie my own queries into a model, and how to switch models for a report in reportnet, but more than that, I need to know when to use certain constructs in a model versus another, and what to include (and not include) in a package when I publish it.  I am hopeing to take the advance modeling class next, but the more I learn the more I get out of the class.  I started with the fast track and it was good, but it was my first exposure to the product (CRN) and the class was all windows based.  I work in an environment that is all UNIX, with weblogic as our portal server (and Oracle as the data base).  So in 13 months, I have learned how to install and configure these products to work together.  I have also produced a lot of reports.  I have produced a lot of reports and I recently took the Advanced Authoring class.  That class was really good.  I had 12 good questions going to the class and they all got answered plus I got a better perspective of report development from the class (especially about conditional formatting).  As for your tutorials, they are very good and I have looked at a few of them.  When someone new comes in, I hope they will be able to access them still through this forum so they can come up to speed faster than I have.

This forum in general has provided me with more and better answers than the other 4 forums I check daily.  I do sincerely appreciate your efforts and the tutorials that you have shared, I wish I had the time, tools and knowledge, to produce some in house for new users and new report authors that I could share out to this forum, but being the sole UNIX admin, COGNOS Admin, COGNOS Modeler, COGNOS Report Author, and COGNOS Report User Trainer I am fortunate to have time to read this forum.  Fortunately, this forum has saved me countless hours of toil and trouble and provides a good mix of questions and answers at various experience levels!  I hope you will reconsider about making the tutorials and continue making them (or at least continue to support those that you have already made), you may never know how many you have actually helped, but you do know that you have helped many!

***************-- GENERAL MESSAGE --***************
I'm not going to address to someone especially but there's someone IN THIS TOPIC who didn't even care to take the time to respond to my previous tutorials, but now that person is asking me not to stop because they're so good.

My question is: Why responding now and not before? Is it so much effort to let us know what you think?? Because of people like you I stopped. Take a look at yourself and realise that you were one of those who confinced me to stop.

Sudha

Well, like I always said these Tutorials are the best I'have seen in my entire life. Please don't put a stop to this, well whenever some good is done, there will be critics as well praisers but we need to make Critics also happy by doing much much better skills.

So don't just give up like this we all are with you.

sir_jeroen

I don't mind critics... I would like to have some critics but most users appear to be leechers.. only viewing and not responding... That's what I don't like...

Hi
I also saw these tutorials and am very happy to find this site and the tutorials. Thank you very much for this. I didn't posted this to you earlier. But I was telling everybody who is interested in reportnet to view these tutorials and also telling that "Cognoise" is the best for those who would like to learn about Cognos. Informing you about the usefulness of your tutorials is good. But I didn't realise that not doing so will disappoint you. But as far as I know telling others about this site is more important even if we miss to praise you directly. The increasing number of hits to the site and the tutorials is the sign that its good and useful. Please don't stop in the middle before the number of users reach to 1000 members or more.

Thanks again

Tutorials are back online....
