have upgraded to version 8.3 for Framework Manager and now I can't seem to be able to view the joins between the query subjects.  The joins are there, but they are not visible.  I can't figure out how to turn them on while viewing the model in the "Diagram" mode.  Also I can't seem to turn on the "details" for the subjects either.  In the previous version I was able to right mouse click and these items were able to be clicked on or off.

I need help in finding these in the new version.
???

Check with Cognos Support. How about the samples? Can you see the joins there?

Thanks for the reply Darek...!  Don't have the samples installed in this environment, just upgraded our DEV environment post Cognos Forum discussions with the who's who from Cognos.  I'll open a support request and post what I found out...????

Even with the standard install, you should have some samples in webcontent/samples. Great Outdoors, etc.

This is the only way to show those joins. It is a change from V8.1 because things would get very messy in larger models when seeing all the joins at once.

To view the joins, select the query subjects you would like (shift+click to multi-select) then from the tools menu, click on Launch Context Explorer. On the new window's toolbar you also have three options:

View the objects that are related to the selected object.
View the immediate references for the objects.
View all references for the objects.

If you want to see details about an object, such as its relationships and query items, right-click the object, click Diagram Settings, and then select the details you want.

Also, having the diagram view active, you may select Diagram >> Diagram Settings, there you have a checkbox for Relationships; this will show you all relationsships at once.

Have fun :-)
