D-Link from Filemap returns warning: Columns xxx defined beyond end of the line

Hello all,

When creating and running a D-Link from a specific FileMap with no delimiter but with fixed width and predefined columns the D-Link returns a warning "Columns xxx defined beyond end of the line".

A closer look into the filemap doesn't show this problem. All columns appear to be defined within the range of the filemap. Increasing the size or range of the filemap by adding a redundant extra column does not solve this problem either.

The D-Link will still run (as this message was a warning and not an error) but automating this D-Link in an Analyst or Contributor Macro will cause the macro to fail and stop.

It also appears that in this D-Link not all items are matched although the allocation is set to matched descriptions and all previous items were matched correctly. Is there a limit on matching d-list items within one D-Link? The D-List in this example has a large number of items (+ 13,000).

In attachment you can find a Word-document describing the problem with some screen captures. If any of you could help me on this one, that would be great!

Thanks,
Mathias

Are there any extra characters or extra blank lines at the end of the file?  Seem to remember something about this error.  Make sure that there is only one carriage return line at the end of the file so the last record does end with an EOL character (i.e. in Notepad, last spot in file should be on new blank line)

I've checked the file, used in the filemap and if I understand you correctly, everything seems about right.
The last position in the file (i.e. where the cursor stops) is on a blank new line directly under the last record.
The file however, is based on an export from an Analyst Cube so should be working just fine...
