Multiple Copies of Same Report Attachment in Emails

When I run a report and select the option to email the output as an attachment, I often get multiple copies of the same file in the attachment.  For instance, I'll often get two PDF files attached in the email, both of which are exactly the same in every detail.

What combination of options might I be selecting to cause this to happen?  Is it the combination of default settings in the original report and run-time options?  Something else?  Does this appear to be a bug I should report to Cognos?

FWIW, I reported this same problem in November last year.  The Environment was 8.1 mr2.

I rolled off the project before Cognos even began the incident process, so I do not know the outcome.

Probably worth reporting to Cognos, IMO

We are using Cognos 8.4 and are getting multiple copies of the exact same report attached to the email and it can be PDF or Excel -- same thing... Does anyone have any updates on what can be done to correct.  thanks. 8)

We are experiencing the same issue on our side, for a report only. Did you resolve the problem or is it still occuring ?

 :)  We did fix our situation - where we deleted the schedule completely and set it back up and now the multiple copies are not there. 

Make sure you delete the schedule within the "Launch"  IBM Cognos Administration. ::) section

Hi,

Before deleting the schedule, i saw that the report language were overriden. I just put it back to the default language and the problem were solved. It should have been also a corrup schedule.

We have the same situation with couple reports and not sure how to fix it.

Would you provide some guidance on steps took to fix your issue? Thanks in advance

Hello:  Log on to the Cognos Connection - Click the Launch button in the upper right corner and select IBM Cognos Administration -- then select the "Status" tab and then select "Schedules" on the left side of the screen.. You will see everything that is scheduled, appear... beside the title of the report you have scheduled, click on the blue down arrow and select "Remove this schedule"
then go back to your original report and set up the schedule again and you should only receive one instance of the report when it is emailed.  I hope this helps... let me know if you need further assistance.   8)

Thank you...the issue seems to have resolved after removing the existing schedule and creating a new one.
