I searched on IBM training site and though it has training for Cognos but I couldn't find any training for TM1. As I understand, IBM had outsourced training to it's partners years ago but even that course is not visible on the IBM training site. Does anyone know where someone can get a good TM1 training presuming the candidate already knows reporting, modelling, SQL, Oracle, making cubes using Transformer and Dynamic Cubes.

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

TM1 was re-branded as Planning Analytics (and since then Planning Analytics with Watson) a few years ago. Any courses these days will carry the new branding.

It looks like there is a good choice from the IBM Training site:

https://www.ibm.com/training/search?query=Planning%20Analytics

I think all the courses are outsourced to partners - if you go into the details of any of them, you should see the training providers shown at the bottom of the page (for example, TD SYNNEX / ExitCertified).

Cheers!

Thank you MFGF! I knew that it is now called Planning Analytics but was just searching for TM1, maybe it was one of those days :)

I wanted to enroll in TM1 training from TD SYNNEX but they don't have any available till the end of this month so I was looking at one provided by Learnquest. They have one called 'On Demand' training so if anyone knows how that is conducted and how effective that is, pl. share your thoughts.

@ MF -

All of these courses only cover Turbo Integrator which is ok. I actually made a cube using TI years ago but never pursued after that but now I want to learn this fully. Question is - Does IBM allow access to any sites which has a TM1 instance so that I can practice and learn other tools like Performance Modeler etc.?

Have you tried techzone.ibm.com? Not sure if this is open to everyone or just to IBM business partners.

Thanks MF!

I can get in there using my IBMId but don't see anything related to TM1 training. I also went to https://techzone.ibm.com/experiences and searched for TM1 but nothing comes up.

Lol - it's Planning Analytics rather than TM1 if you are searching. :-)

Go here:

Then select the Environments tab on the left. You can provision from there.

Ah ! Thanks !

I have sent a message to IBM to change the name back to TM1 as it is causing too much confusion  ;D
