User Credential Renewal and Report Schedule Failure

Hello,

I have a bunch of reports scheduled under my login id. Whenever I renew my Cognos login credentials I notice that some of the reports which are scheduled will fail. The failure usually occurs for reports that are scheduled within 24 Hrs from the time I have renewed my Cognos Analytics password. Despite manually renewing my credentials by choosing "My preferences > Personal > Advanced > Credentials - Renew" option still the reports continue to fail each time I have renewed my password. How to percent it ? how does login/ scheduling credential renewal actually work ?
