Hi All,

I have created a 1st phase of FM DMR model Dynamic Mode (DQM) and in that model measure value breakdowns by dimension
Ex: we have employees 100 and we have 4 job roles
- Software Engineer 60
- Manual Tester 20
- Accountant 10
- Sales 10

Now Issue is, i have updated the model with new dimension and Measure values, but the measure value didn't breakdown by dimension
Ex: we have employees 100 and we have 4 job roles
- Software Engineer 100
- Manual Tester 100
- Accountant 100
- Sales 100
I have crossed check the properties of Measure and dimension and i have compared the previous measure and dimension with new one also, but no use.

When I create a new model breakdown works, but same i try in updating the existing model it fails.

Please Help, I have stuck at this point and Trying to create a new fresh model from starting, and we have 3rd phase also, if same happens at 3rd phase then, that would be waste of time and cost.

Please help, if any one had this kind of issue are if any know how to handle it.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

A couple of places to start checking here.

1. What does the scope relationship look like between your measure dimension and the regular dimension?
2. Assuming the regular dimension and measure dimension are based on underlying query subjects, what results do you get if you test the measure values at this level in the model - you you still get a 100 value for each role or do you see the correct breakdown?

Cheers!

Thanks for the reply MF,

1. Measure dimension and Regular dimension from are from same query subject (one table in DB)
2. At Query subject level, I got correct values breakdown by each role.

Hi,

What determinants are defined on the underlying query subject?
Can you also check your Scope Relationships as I mentioned above?

Cheers!

Thanks for the response MF,

1. I have created determinants uniquely identified by Employee No  and group by roles.
2. I didn't specify any scope relationship between the measure and dimension.

Please let me know why this scope, I have created DMR model in compatible model and i didn't use this scope concept.

I assume these are two separate determinants? Have you defined the Roles determinant first, followed by the Employees determinant?

You should always check your scope relationships when setting up DMR objects. You shouldn't assume that FM will always set them up appropriately.

What scopes are set when you look on the Dimension Map tab?

Cheers!

Thanks MF,

I will try scope relationship and let you know, if I stuck any where...!!!
