Hello All,

I'm not the techo-person in our Cognos Team - I'm a senior author - so I don't directly influence the data model much.

We are just now starting to consider upgrading from Cognos 11.0.11 to 11.1.something.

Does anyone have any input on what I should expect from the Exploration and AI Assistant features after upgrade IF our Framework experts don't make any material changes to our data models?  I think I am asking, can users/authors benefit from either Exploration or AI Assistant without data model changes?

Thanks much.

Hi,

The Exploration features and the Assistant rely on extra metadata derived while analyzing your data. You can add this to packages by using the Enrich option. Find the relevant package in the portal, click the ellipsis (3 dots) alongside, and choose the Enrich option. Once this has been done, you should see much more relevant insights in Explore and using the Assistant.
Note that OLAP packages cannot be enriched - the structure of a cube does not support this.

Cheers!

MF.

You made this sound "easy".  Thank you for the instructions - or hint.
