Calendar Prompt Looks Different in HTML vs Excel

Hi All,

We are using Cognos 11.0.12.  When building a prompt page that uses calendar prompts, we noticed that the "look and feel" of the calendar is slightly different when we "Run As" HTML vs "Run As" Excel (see attachment).  Not only is one side by side and the other is top and bottom, but the Excel version is for the full year with months and dates being hyperlinked, while the HTML version is monthly with no hyperlinks.  I know this sounds very minor but the business is very picky about the consistency.  Anyone experience this before?  Btw, we tried this in different browsers as well with the same results.

Thanks in advance,
UrsaMajor

I ran into a similar problem with textbox prompts:

When the report is run to Excel output, the prompt page is not displayed in the correct style.

  •     Create a report.
  •     Add a prompt page.
  •     Add a Text box prompt to the prompt page.
  •     Change the Multi-select and Multi-line properties of the Text box prompt to Yes
  •     Set Run with full interactivity to Yes.
  •     Set Report styles to 10.x styles.
  •     Save and close the report.
  •     Run the report to HTML.
  •     Run the report to Excel.

    • Notice the value prompt is the same in both output formats.
  •     Change the Report Styles to 11.x styles.
  •     Run the report to HTML.
  •     Run the report to Excel.

    • Notice the value prompt is the same in both output formats.
  •     Change the Report Styles to 11.4 styles.
  •     Run the report to HTML.
  •     Run the report to Excel.

    • Notice the value prompt appears one way when the report is run to HTML, but when it is run to Excel it looks like the 10.x style.

I have confirmed that this is corrected in 11.1.7.
