Cognos Analytics visualization - Nesting data in Charts Category

Hi all,

I'm trying to use a technique which was working fine up to Cognos 10, and doesn't seem to work now for Cognos 11.
This is described in the topic I found here (when trying to find a solution on the net): https://www.cognoise.com/index.php?topic=25719.0. The technique shown by MFGF was working perfectly, I used this since a long time ago.

Now, in Cognos 11, impossible to redo the same. Even if from "Visualization", I select "Charts", I cannot redo the same.
This is critical for me, more or less, and I would not understand why this feature is not available anymore.

What am I missing?

Hi Vinc - this isn't a solution to your problem, just empathy. There seems to be a lot of things that I can't find a way to do the new visualisations. I can't seem to add a baseline, add a second measure with a 2nd y axis, I can't sort one field in a vis by a different field, add a trendline...all things that I used to be able to do in Cognos10.

I would sooner have a functionally rich bar / line chart than I would a pretty set of bubbles!

Not only bubbles. I would throw away all this useless AI and rather have well defined basic controls... This is exactly why Cognos was going nowhere for many years...

At least, I see that I'm not the only one with this kind of problem and not the only one with doubts about Cognos.

Does anybody knows if there is an IBM "official channel" where we could imagine posting this kind of issues / request ?
