I have a package that exists in the public folder (Audit package). By default, this particular package is setup to display in the Public Folders, for everyone to view. However, I would like for only a certain number of people to have access to this package (not everyone). Is there a way to set this in Cognos?

Never mind - I found a way. The real question that I wanted to propose was: Is there a way to HIDE this package from everyone's view. In other words, to move it from the Public Folders.

Hi,

For builds upto and including 8.2, the package folders must exist in the root of the public folders page.  For 8.3 you can put them wherever you like.

In 8.2, you can go into the properties of the package folder, and remove all privileges for everyone except those who should have access.  It will then be invisible to all but your chosen few...
