When creating a report using a data module, does CA11 prevent the user from using user defined sql?

My users are allowed to do that in all other packages but on data modules the SQL option is not present. I have not been able to find a way to add the permissions directly to the data module package.

Interesting! This isn't something I had previously tried, but I can confirm I see the same issue - I see an error "User defined SQL is not permitted for the user who has the identity '{<all of my role memberships are listed here>}'. I have tried this logged in as a user in the System Administrator role, so I have all capabilities. It looks like CA simply doesn't permit this currently.

I heard a rumour that data modules are being beefed up considerably in the upcoming 11.1 release - it's worth trying this again in 11.1 once it is generally available :)

Cheers!

Thanks for confirming!

I guess will just build the package using external data from the get go.
