How to add rows to tables in Cognos Analytics (no Table Menu any longer?)?

We upgraded recently from Cognos 10.2.1 to  Cognos 11.0.8

In Cognos 10, there was a Table Menu that let you do things like add rows to tables

That functionality seems to be missing in Cognos Analytics

Am I missing something? I know I could add a new table with a different number of rows but was hoping to adjust the number of rows in an existing table

Thanks

Hi,

Just click on a table cell. The option to insert new rows/columns is on the interactive toolbar - use the ellipsis at the end, choose 'Insert' and you'll see the options:

In 11.0.6, we've found that you can bring up the Menu bar by going to the Page View, Selecting a Page then pressing <Control>, <Alt>, <M>.

This gives all the previous menu drop downs similar to 10.2 including the Table Menu.

Thanks,
Adam.

...and I expect that menu to disappear once 11.0.x is ready for production.

Hmmm. That's a slightly negative comment there, my friend ;)

I don't think that menu will disappear - it's primarily there to allow debug options to be enabled if IBM Support need to dig into a report, I think. It's not something supported or advertised for production use, though. :)

I've had a slightly negative experience with Cognos since upgrading from 10.2.1. ;)
