Display only the totals of a sectioned list without change in locations

Hi Experts,

Is there a way to hide the column values (detail values) and display only totals in a list? without losing the space of the cells?
The purpose is to keep the totals at the location they were before hiding the detail cells. When I select details list cells or the list row and do box type = none. the totals shift to the left as the detail cells space is gone.

I have a list that is sectioned by for instance Sales region, Country, Product line, Product type.

The details in the list consist of say:

Year, date, Delivery mode, ................................ Quantity, Actual Revenue, Planned Revenue etc.

The fact columns that is Quantity etc have been aggregated by sections i.e., product line, product type.

Now I would like to modify the list such that I can display only the overall summary row given that the fact totals (quantity, Actual Revenue, Planned revenue etc) do not move from there current location (the space for the attribute columns should be reserved)

I have managed to hide the headers and footers and leave the overall summary row alone but how do I hide the detail values without changing the location of the totals values in the over all summary row?

I am not certain I understand your requirement. Please check the image attached; if that is what you need, then just:

1. unlock the report by clicking on the padlock item
2. click on the text items inside the list column body
3. hit delete
