Hi All,

Version of Cognos 10.2.2  (will be upgraded to 11 in few months)

We are trying to use IDAutomationHC39M Code 39 Barcode font to represent barcode in Cognos Reports. We have added the font to the C:\Windows\Fonts folder. We have also added the font to the Fonts section under edit global configuration in the Cognos configuration and restarted the services.

When we tried to use the fonts in our reports, we don't see any change to the field when we apply the above font. We tested the same in a word document and that font works fine.

As anyone faced such issue before? Please guide us to resolve this issue.

Thanks in advance!

Just a shot in the dark, but have you tried printing the document in question? I know the barcode ttf's (yup, multiple. don't ask ;)) we use in our SAP implementation just display numbers on-screen but print as barcodes.

thanks for the response Hespora, we haven't tried printing the report yet. We referred the below link and were expecting the output to show up in HTML first.

Thanks!

The link you referenced says "PDF is the only output type that can handle the barcode font." so perhaps HTML is not the right expectation. Did you try PDF?
