Hi,
I'm facing an issue trying to give a drill through from one report to another, Its working fine when I set RUN WITH FULL INTERACTIVITY to 'NO', but I need my report to run on full interactivity with drill through functionality.
Please suggest how to achieve it.
Thank You.

What version of Cognos Analytics are you using? In the earlier builds, drill throughs were not available in full interactivity mode, but this capability was introduced a little while ago. I don't remember exactly which release, but I suspect it was R4?

MF.
Meep!

As well as providing the information MF has requested, can you describe the issue you are having?

Also,

In R5 and R6 (at least, possibly on other versions as well) there is a bug where the interactivity interferes with the selected index of the drill through.

Wherein, if you click a column and highlight it, clicking a drillthrough will sometimes pass the incorrect information to the target report. With interactivity off this does not happen.

If this is the issue you are having IBM developers are aware of it, and are working on a solution.

Hi Brandynable,

As MF had asked for the version of Cognos, I'm using the latest version V11.0.6.
The issue is that i've designed a report(web based) & included a drill through to another report, after execution  I was unable to click on the drill through link in my report, so I changed the full interactivity mode to 'NO' and it worked (I was able to click on the drill through link), but I want to run my report on full interactive mode set to YES.

Thanks & Regards
Syed

Hi Brandynable,

If this is the issue you are having IBM developers are aware of it, and are working on a solution.

The issue is some what similar,
Do you have any idea about when is the new release of cognos ?, hoping this issue will be fixed in next release.

They don't like to provide great timelines, understandably, but the initial response was somewhere in the area of the next release, Q3. They thought it was already fixed in R7 but wanted to confirm, so far they haven't told us.

I'd suggest entering a PMR anyway. If you like I can PM you our PMR # so that your support agent can reference and confirm if they are the same issue, and maybe provide a quicker turnaround for you.

With Interactivity on, are you trying to click on the hyperlink, or on the cell? It only works when you click directly on the hyperlink text.

Hi Brandynable,

First of all thanks a lot for your support & immediate response, Hartley Appreciated .

I was also thinking of raising a PMR, since you have already raised it would be good if you share your PMR # so that I can refer to it before proceeding.

With Interactivity on, I tried to click directly on hyperlink text , and failed to click(unable to click).
