Need some help when accessing Cognos Administration portal current activities.
I am receiving this error: CM-SYS-5092 Content Manager failed while returning the query results. Lock request time out period exceeded.

Hi,

"Lock request time out period exceeded" sounds spookily like an error from MS SQL Server. Is this what you are using for your content store database? It sounds like there is a transaction holding a required table or row locked that your content manager needs access to. How good are your SQL Server skills? Can you go into SQL Server Management Studio and see what open transactions exist for your content store database? That might give you an idea of what's causing the lock?
