Hi all,

I'd like to know if is it possible to customize the color of the list headers and the crossatb nodes in report Studio.

Thanks

Hi,

Yes - they are all driven by classes. You can see them in the Page Explorer in any report.

Cheers!

I would add that if you want to customize them across an entire set of reports, use a style sheet. You can then reference the style sheet in an HTML item at the top of each report. Or for extra points, use a layout component reference to refer back to a single HTML item that contains the style sheet.

I did this for a project once. Worked very nicely, especially when there was a change to be made.

From 10.2.2 you can use style templates rather than HTML and style sheets. Create your style template as an empty report, with the relevant classes modified. Then in Report Studio, go to Tools > Style References and select your style template. If you subsequently modify the style template, all reports referencing it will inherit the change - either when you run the report or you can set the refresh to be manual.

Cool. Thanks for the heads up. That would have saved me a lot of effort. :)

Also, consider that lists have a main styling for the content and the headers. So if you want to change something for all the content of a list or all the header, best do it there and not on the individual columns.

If you want to make general changes for your whole environment, there is also the option to alter the actual CSS file. Cognos has 4 CSS files and one of them is for the users, if I remember right (other are for use in RS for instance).
Few can be done on Cognos | RTFM for those who ask basic questions...
