HAL ERROR: Hiding inactive dialog:_J4C

Hi all,

I'm having an issue when adding a data item in my report.
"HAL ERROR: Hiding inactive dialog:_J4C"

I've cleared out the expression in case it was a formula issue and tried a different subject but whatever I do I'm getting this error.
I've tried googling it with not luck.

The main downside is I haven't saved this report recently and don't want to lose all the work in the query, this probably isn't possible to avoid but it means I haven't tried switching of off then on yet.

Is this something anyone else has come across before?

EDIT: just realized should have said that this happens when I try pressing the X, OK or close on the data item box

Restarting report studio seems to have stopped this error but lost previous work.

It's not come back yet but if anyone does know what the error is I would be interested to hear what it means.

What browser are you using? Is it supported for the version of Cognos you are using?

I have seen that error, though not for a long time. I seem to recall it being a browser compatibility issue.
