Method to test when modifying the model

Hello everyone,
I want to know if there is a best practice to test a modification in Framework Manager.
Suppose that I import table 'A' from a data source, then I create a link between 'A' and an existing table 'C'. then I create a dimension based on the A table...
I'm wondering the best way to test if everything works as expected. Should I be satisfied with the 'test sample in the Framework manager, or I have to publish and test in a Studio...
