Hi All,

Dashboard Requirement:
3 drop downs:
1) Region
2)Program
3) Office Type: A and B

All three are totally independent of each other.
Default selection:Chart should display two bars with Office type A and B, with all regions and program counts.

But on user selection of Region, Program or Office, my chart should change data as selected.

How canI achieve this. Any suggestions please.

Regards,
Nancy

My advice is to use a visualization rather than a chart, and have each Drop-Down List set an active report variable which filters the visualization.

Thanks for the reply MFGF.

Can you please tell where do we get the visualisation option in Active reports. I could not see anything in toolbar with that name.

Nancy

Hi,

Instead of dragging in a Chart object from the toolbox, drag in a Visualization object instead.

Thanks MFGF.

But I dont see any visualization object in my toolbox. Do we have to install something for that?
Please suggest.

Thanks & Regards,

What version of Cognos do you have? I think visualisations in active reports came about in 10.2.1.

We are using Cognos 10.2, so can you suggest some other wayout to implement this.

Thanks & Regards,
