Generating report with old dataset !!!!!

Hi,

I have a requirement where i need to generate a report every month till a prescribed date with similar data even if a new data is avaliable. for e.g. there is a column in the report which has Product total and lets say i ran the report on first week of Nov i'll get the total as on date. Now if i ran in the last week of the month but by that time the data is updated with new values, i need still the old data in the report until the calendar changes to next month.

One possible way i thought is Bursting the report as PDF and saving it to server location and retriving it till the calendar changes. Once the Calendar month changes i'll have the burst job run and replace the PDF.

Is there any other way to do this ?

Hi,

Couldn't you just run the report and save output once for each update period?  Then all the users would have to do is to view your static output until the next time you decide to run and update it.  Or am I missing something obvious? (usually the case with my senile old brain, I'm afraid!  :) )
