Hi All,

This time is to ask if any of you have encountered this issue:

When opening a specific customized report on IE 11, it gives the error: https://<cogserverinstallationpath>/bi/pat/rsapp.htm 101

This report runs fine on Firefox or Chrome. It looks to me like a browser related issue but i'm running out of ideas in terms of what to do. I already checked the Compatibility View, also checked all the security settings: Active X, Pop up blocker, Scripting and all the recommendations given on IBM page for IE configuration.

I'm running Cognos on Windows 2012 R2 Server, recently built.

Any ideas? Highly appreciated!

I had similar issues with Chrome browser, the way to troubleshoot is -

- Try a rollback to an older version of IE to see if issue persists
- Check if latest updates from Microsoft have been applied to IE 11
- Narrow down to the object which is causing the issue, try replacing it with something else

Good Luck.

I had similar issues after upgrading from v11.0.0 to 11.0.3.
Have you recently upgraded between versions ?.
Have you tried clearing the browser cache ?.

Hi all,

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, we upgraded like a month ago from 10.1 to 11.0, still on base, we plan to update to 11.0.3 in about a month.

Yes, I tried clearing the cache. we've seen that Cognos is really cookie sensitive, i.e.: everytime a minor change was done, most likely we would have to open a new session.

I'm leaving the downgrade of ie as a last resort since we have another apps that are buggy with previous versions.-
