Dear All,
My server is Linux Machine,I have to installed Cognos 8BI 8.2 ,Database and ODBC Drivers in Linux machine. Now am working in client machine that is Windows XP SP2,In my client machine also have installed Cognos 8 BI 8.2.  My Question is .......

How to create package in my windows machine through ODBC connectivity using Linux machine. I need that Process.

Thanks,
Madhu.

When using ODBC connectivity, the client must have the proper dll/api's installed locally on the client. The connection defined on the LINUX server will only be used for any username/pwd combinations setup.

Things to keep in mind:
1. In the model, define the content manager datasource as defined on the server
2. The ODBC properties, on the client, must be identical to those on the server

Hope that helps,
B
