horizontal sectioning of report

Hi experts.

I have an existing report in report studio which breaks into different tabs based on a row in a crosstab using sectioning and page break.
Now the user wants the report to break based on that row but horizontally in one page when ran in excel.

What I did:
I removed the page set function but left the section/unsection property still there.
Now I see the report breaking in 1 page instead of different tabs as requested by user.

Please let me know how to make this breaking go horizontal instead of vertical in 1 page when ran in excel format.
