NOT Getting Distinct Counts in Crosstab in Workspace Advanced

Hi guys, :)
Please help if you can.

A subject query in Framework Manager is used to get all the data elements and measures. I have created a new Query Item in the Subject Query that is simply with the name:
Total # of cases and 1 (one) for the value of this Query Item so it counts all the records.

I normally drop the this total count measure (Total # of Cases) as the measure into the Crosstab in the Report Studio and the counts show as unique.

It works with Report Author for the same report but if I try to mimic the same report using the Workspace Advanced, the counts for each Top Edge category is not unique counts since there are many dups in our case #s that are legitimate.

So I'm trying to have the Subject Query to give me unqiue (Distinct Results) before using the package as a part of Workspace Advanced.

Let me know what you think and thanks for your time.

It works with Report Author for the same report

What is your report author doing that is different that means this works for him/her? Couldn't you just ask them and compare their report with yours?

Meep!

I'm not sure this will necessarily give you a count of all records. I think it will simply return a value of 1 for each row of the result set. Because data is automatically grouped and summarized you might have 50 records in your table but a query result might only return a couple of rows because auto group and summary happens. Are you sure that you are getting the correct total count even when you don't retrieve every single row in your output?

I'm getting the right counts in Report Studio with the Auto Summary/Grouping set to Yes.
My apologies but I have customized this crosstab by using the Define Content Yes on the
Intersection. I'm dropping a count value that is calculated as a part of the FM Model for each of the
18 categories of calculations.

That's why it's working on my Report Studio. So, for all the 18 categories, I have a Calculation done based
on the Category Type.

Now. I'm stuck with the Workspace to do the same. I wonder?

Thanks so much :D :D

So, basically, Unlike my approach with the Report Studio and Define Content = 'YES'. I'm stuck with Workspace Advanced Requirement by the client to mimic the same report but using Workspace Adv. but using the same Subject Q. that includes the IDs related to the 18 categories. This is the same Subject Query that I'm trying to use the same Total Count that is used in the same Subject Query.

It may not be doable for a Workspace Adv. Ad-Hoc Tool implementation as far as this same Crosstab report concerned.
Pls see attached mock as the layout of the data.

Thanks again!

I think, I just resolved the problem.  :) :)I have always wanting to use the Determinants and there it is. I dropped the unique keys under the Determinants option of Framework Manager and the counts are now coming out based on Distinct Counts by having the Uniquely Identified and Group by established.

Thanks for your time.  :) :) :)

Well, the framework manager is showing the right counts now but for some reason, the Crosstab in Workspace Advanced is totally blank for every single category. No data is showing what so ever.  :'( :'(
