Bad performance when report export to Excel (2007)

I have made report with some columns and filter based on period. When I run the report in CSV format it takes 5 minutes. When I run this same query with 2 grouping columns and one subtotal and total, the export goes to Excel 2007 it takes about 1 hour. I tried a lot of parameters of the query but nothing helps. Have someone ideas?
