Hi All,

We are in a process to upgrade from Cognos 10.1.1 to Cognos 10.2.2

So we are planning to upgrade cognos 10.1.1 DB directly.  That is we will take a backup of the C10.1.1 content store backup
and point c10.1.1 content store to c10.2.2 environment and we are planning to boot the cognos services.

I think this will upgrade C10.1.1 CS to C10.2.2 CS version. Is that right ? Can this be done ?

Thanks ,

Yes of course this can be done. Once you point your old content store backup in new Cognos 10.2.2 content manager and start content manager service your content store will get upgraded. This may take some time depending on size of content store.

I hope you have same authentication source in bother versions.
Thanks

Thanks a Sunosoft for your support. Yes we have same authentication source and around 10 GB of the Content store db. I feel it may get upgraded in 4 hours hopefully.

Just wanted to know whether a CS tables/ schema structure has been changed or its identical with 10.1.1 version ..?
Thanks ,

I do not think there is any kind of change in structure and all or even if there is i do not think its going to affect anything with the process that you are going to follow.
Thanks
