Problem with converting sheet to Chart

The enclosed is a sample dataset and chart that I need to complete in cognos.  I aleady have the datasheet which is a summary of activity.  I am having trouble converting to a chart.  Field names are
lock_expiration_date
received#
not_received#


The report segments by week for the next 60 days

I need to segment the lock_expiration_date in a date range segmented by each week as seen in the chart and get the sum of received and sum of not received for the week.  I keep getting aggregate errors or master link chart errors.  I am a new cognos developer and would appreciate any input.  I heard of time dimension as a possible solution

The way your data table is split into weeks suggests that you've got another field in the background...maybe week number or week date range. If you use that field in your x-axis and put RECEIVED# and NOT RECEIVED# as your series you should be able to get to your chart
