Keep getting error after new Planning 8.2 installation

I just installed Cognos EP 8.2 on the Windows 2003 server that had Cognos BI 8.2 running.  In Cognos Configuration I sucessfully started Planning server, but when try to open Analyst and enter user credentials I receive the following message:

"Analyst failed to communicate with content menager database ......Error was: Unable to retrieve user information for the user that was logged in".

I didn't change default user/pw "cognos". Any ideas?

Make sure you are running the Planning 8 service and Cognos 8 service under a domain account with local admin rights.

Make sure you are in the same tree/domain as the server.

Make sure to apply the BI updater (.236) to the server.

Bi Reporting portal works fine. Planning 8.2 gives me all the headache

BI updater is available from Cognos support.  It's needed to make Planning work in a BI environment.

Thanks SomeClown. I've spent almost an hour looking on Cognos support site for BI updater (.236) without any luck. Is there any chance to send me a direct link? I am Primary contact for my company and can easily download the fix.

You need to file a case with Cognos and they'll send the link. I didn't keep the link after the download.
