Currently use WSA in 10.2.2 for report modification while in WSA then the user runs the report.. so in cognos analytics what will the user use?  I can't find where to open a report in WSA

Hi,

Neither Report Studio nor Cognos Workspace Advanced exist in Cognos Analytics. They have both been replaced by the new Authoring tool. The user runs the report, then if they want to edit it they press the Pencil (edit) button to switch into Authoring mode. Pressing again toggles back to Consumption mode.

Cheers!

Maybe you guys know if there are future plans to re-introduce profiles, so as to give different users different authoring capabilities?

Only IBM could give you a definitive answer, but we're all hoping for the re-introduction of User Interface Profiles :)

lets vote to bring back profiles capabilities

Product Management recommended that you participate in the request for enhancement community: https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/

This is the location where you can submit an enhancement request, vote on existing enhancement requests, etc. This site is used to get user feedback on what they want to see in the product. There is a request already submitted for using User Profiles in Cognos Analytics 11. Here is a direct link so you and your team can vote on getting the request into the product: https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=83829

You will need to login to the site using your IBM ID. I submitted my vote for this RFE.
