Java script to pass parameter value of prompt

Hi All,
I have a report which uses java script to create hyperlink on a data item. We have some prompts in the report as well. So we need a java script that passes parameter value of prompts when clicked on particular data item. So when data item is clicked prompt page should come up.

You can create hyperlinks using report expressions, no javascript needed. This will also make it much easier to include parameter values.

But if you are going from one Cognos report to another (kind of sounds like it), what about standard drill-through reports does not work for you?
