BCG Matrix in Cognos 10.2.2

Hi Team,

One of the my client requirements is to have BCG( Boston Consulting Group)Matrix in cognos 10.
Please let me know how to proceed with that as i have searched in various cognos portals and IBM sites for but all in vain.
We have tried with cognos bubble chart but it would not be called as a standerd BCG matrix so customer has concerns over it. It would be great if anyone has done POC for this and can share across.PFA sample for the matrix chart.

It's not really clear what you're expecting / hoping to get out of Cognos...I might be missing something but what you attached just looks like a static image.

We need to draw attached chart which is a BCG matrix four quadrant bubble chart which has market growth on y axis and market share on x-axis with those images(cow,dog,* ,?)  for each quadrant.

Cow shows high market share and low market growth
Dog  shows low market share and low market growth
* shows      high market share and high market growth
? shows low market share and high market growth

Couldn't you use a regular bubble chart and add a background image to provide the cow/dog/*/?

We had tried regular  bubble chart with four quadrants but how can we show background image for each quadrant ?Also,we can change the axis range manually but it was showing axis range as below:

If you explicitly size the chart, you can add a single image as the background. The image would be all four quadrants, and would need to be the same size as the chart?

If you use a scatter chart you can specify a measure for the X axis and another measure for the Y axis. Put your product, or whatever, as the series.

Multiply each of your measures by -1. This will flip the metrics to go from max to min on the X axis and min to max on the Y axis. You can change the data format to have the same pattern and negative pattern so the minus signs don't show in the hover tips. Not sure if you can get the same thing for the axis labels, but perhaps you can suppress them.

You can also add a baseline at 50% along along the X axis and another at 50% along the Y axis to identify the quadrants.

I think the muppet is exactly right about the background image.
