Hello,

I am very new to Cognos, just started working with it 2 days ago.  I was able to build a crosstab to show my MTD and YTD Totals broken out in 2 separate sections (2 separate crosstabs) so that we can see data by project types (Managed and Developed) and Project status (FIFO or KL Phanse 1).  I need to now be able to display each column amount as a percentage of the first total row (highlighted in yellow).  For example Managed Adjusted Gross $4,925,526/$11,051,988 or under the second set of amounts $2,209,576 / $10,616,954.  I attempted to do this through data/calculation and set it up as a percentage but it only lets me do it for the first crosstab.  The second crosstab is referencing a different query, which I think is the reason why I am having issues since I am trying to divide a total from one query over a total from another query. Because I am so new to this I need step by step of how to do this, can anyone help me please.  I have attached 2 spreadsheets, one is the current report and the other is what the end product should look like (done in excel).
PLEASE HELP! :)

Hi,

It's quite astonishing that you would post up sensitive information, branded with the logo of your client/employer, onto a public forum like this. I happen to be very familiar with your client, and I recognise many of the locations as being real. The numbers look real too. I have removed your attachment to try to limit the visibility of this data, but I see there have been more than 30 views of your post so far, so I fear the damage may already have been done.

Please read the Forum Etiquette post here paying particular attention to point 6. Please try to find a way to describe your requirement without posing up content that could damage your client's/employer's data confidentiality.
