Hi All,

I have created a dashboard in workspace with value filters and 3 graphs. The filtering is happening correctly within the dashboard but when I click on goto link and select the drill through definition the chart is passing dimensions that are in the chart but not the filter dimension columns.
With Visualizations I don't see anything passing to the detail report.
Did anyone experience this problem?

Thanks,
Mc

Yep - I have encountered this. A drill-through from a Workspace widget doesn't take account of the values applied by Workspace filters, and I haven't found a way to make it do this either.

I have no problem passing "normal" (ie values shown in the visualization) values from a visualization in a widget to my target report, though - seems to work fine for me.

Cheers!

Hi MF,

Thank you so much for confirming. Is it worth raising a PMR with IBM?
For visualizations did you define drill through definition or did package drill through definition work?
I have created drill through definition at package level. Can you please advise?

Thanks,
Mc

Hi MF,

I have checked once again and yes drill from visualization is working . I was clicking on the wrong area of the chart earlier.
Now the only issue is to pass the filter values to the target report.

Thanks,
Mc

Certainly a worthwhile thing to do. The more requests/calls they get asking for this, the more likely they are to consider adding the functionality to make it work. I suspect in the short term they will tell you it's not a product defect, though :)
