Hi All,

May I know how to clear the data list control in the active reports? once I select a value in the data list control I am unable to deselect one or all.
I am also facing report run time performance issues with data list containers over 3. Did anyone encounter similar issue?

Thanks,
MC

Hi,

If I'm understanding correctly, you are using your data dropdown list control to set an Active Report variable, and you want to know how to unset the variable - is that the question?

If so, you can bring in a button (very last option in the toolbox) and use the "Set Variable Values" property of the button so that it sets your variable to empty.

Cheers!

MF.

Hi MFGF,

Yes you are correct. I want to reset the variables set in the data lists. I have 4 prompts so do I have to add 4 buttons? IBM should add an easy option to unselect the value.. :)
Also is there anyway to select the multiple values in the data list with only mouse and without using control key?
These prompts are also not looking good on ipad.. :(

Cheers,
MC

Hi,

You can use a single button to unset all variables at once if you wish to. A button sounds like an easy option to me :)

A "data list box" control and a "data dropdown list" control are both single-select controls - you are not able to select multiple items from them, even if you use the control key. Can you clarify what you mean?

Hi MF,

We can select multiple values from data list control and it works for me.

Ahhhh - ignore me. I'm living up to my "Muppet" moniker :) I had the "Multi-Select" property set as "No"  :-[

So, even with multi-select enabled, there doesn't appear to be any way of lassoing the values. <ctrl> click seems to be the only way.

You could perhaps try switching to a Data Check Box Group instead? This appears to allow toggling of each value.

Cheers!
