Workspace Woes: Filters Sorting & Formatting Ignored

Hi All,

2 more annoying issues with Workspace - hopefully someone can help me out.

1) Filters Sorting
We have a Date Dimension that has: -
Date - which is a date field
Period - Which is a Varchar in the following format (2014/Apr)

The Period (2014/Apr) is only used as a filter and is not in the body of the widget.  It is in the Widget Query and the _BusInsight_ Query.

Now the problem I have is that I cannot order it except for Asc/Desc/No Sort.  When what I really need to do is order it by the date for example.  Any idea how I can do this?

I found the following technote http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21646845 however that doesn't work, I am assuming they are formatting a date field for example?


2) Formatting Ignored
The next thing i noticed is that in the DB our Date field looks something like 2015-08-04 00:00:000 and in Framework Manager we reformat this as 04-Aug-2015.  This is fine in Report Studio etc however if we use the date as a filter in workspace it ignores the formatting set in FWM and displays as 2015-08-04 00:00:000.

Anyone else experienced this?  Have you got a workaround etc?
