Hi,

i just set up a new BI installation. But with the URL it looks like some images are not load correctly. Attached find a screenshot.

Details:
cognosISAPI.dll and cognos.cgi = same issue
added the URL to compatibility Mode of IE 11 = Same issue
My account is an AD Admin account. Service Started without any problems. Just cant see any icons. only black x where an icon should be.

But i can navigate in cognos connection it just looks corrupt. No messages in cogserver.log. And a new content store was created.

Any Ideas?

Thx in advance for the help

Silly question, but were you using an older version of Cognos previously? If so, have you cleared your browser cache?

Hey MF,

no question is silly ... u never know who is the user ;-)

But unfortunately its not that easy here. Its a new Image. I m afraid i know what it is but never had problems with this before ...

Could a deployment of the "OLD" Content Store be the cause too? I did a full one but cant remember what it looked like before i did the deployment :-(.
It was an deployment from 10.1.1 to the new CS of the New 10.2.2. CS is on the DB Server of cores.

Hmmm. Ok. Are you using the servlet gateway or did you configure the instance with a proper web server?

just the servlet ...

I ll delete the CS and see how it looks with a new one.

I rechecked the security settings of the IIS also ... nothing found ...

Hold on - I don't understand. You're either connecting via the servlet gateway (ie the dispatcher URI) or you're connecting via a web server (IIS). If you configured the install to use the servlet gateway you don't need IIS and the URL is different than for IIS. Can you clarify how you have set up Cognos 10.2.2?

Ok ...

http://Alias for Server:80/ibmcognos/cgi-bin/cognosisapi.dll is my gateway URI and its configured with the iis.

But my environment looks like i access through dispatcher directly. No icons no images nothing

http://Alias for Server:9400/p2pd/servlet/dispatch

Do you know what i mean? Hope i explained it better now.

Hi,

I understand, but I'm asking how you performed the install? Did you use the Quick Install option? If so, it installs the servlet gateway and expects you to connect via the dispatcher URL, not via IIS. What do you see if you enter the servlet gateway URL (dispatcher URI) into your web browser address bar?

hhmm just the regular setup ... dont know what you mean with that. All i can tell its not the QuickSetup.
I installed the Product and then configured my environment with the iis. I dont know how the quick setup works never used it.

If i access the gateway uri i see the cognos connection just as if i would access through the dispatcher directly.in my last post you see the both links. seems like the gateway does not perform as it should. So both way i get x where an icon or image should be seen.

Dispatcher URI for gateway:http://Alias for Server:9400/p2pd/servlet/dispatch
Gateway URI:http://Alias for Server:80/ibmcognos/cgi-bin/cognosisapi.dll

In my first post you find a screenshot how the CC looks by Gateway and now i attach a screenshot of how it looks by dispatcher.
