Hi,

Is it possible to remove duplicates from "Data Checkbox Group"? And how to do it?
Duplicates appear if i add data items into "Extra items" field. I need this data items in the "Extra items" field for filtering the "Data Check Box Group".

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

The only data that appears in a data check box group is the data you drop into it. Usually this is a single data item from your package.

When you refer to adding data items into "Extra items" field, can you be specific about what you mean? Where is the Extra Items field? Is it in a visualization? Is it the one in the data check box group? If the latter, why are you adding extra items into here? Can you explain what you are trying to do?

Cheers!

-  It is the one in the data check box group.

- I want to filter/select values, that are showed in the "Data Checkbox Group", from another "Data Checkbox Group"

Ok - you should be able to do this. It's not clear why you would get duplicates, though. What data item are you using to drive the checkboxes and what item are you using in "Extra items"? What is the relationship between them?

- I get duplicates because data items that I use in the "Extra items" sometimes has the same data that appears in a data check box group.
For example:
Name - data that appears in a data check box group.
Surname - data items in the "Extra items".
In this case, in the data check box group we will see:

Alan          - (Extra item: Moor)
Joe            - (Extra item: Satriani)
Joe            - (Extra item: Moor)
Winstone  - (Extra item: Moor)

Hi,

That makes sense if you think about it. If you bring in the last name as an extra item, the control then has visibility of combinations of both first and last names, and it will display all the valid combinations in the data. It's doing exactly what it should do base on the data you are bringing in.

Cheers!

The control has visibility only of first names.
(Extra item: Moor) - this part is not visible.
So, I have two "Joe" names in the "data that appears in a data check box group".
And I want to show the "Joe" name only once.
Is it possible?
