Hi guys,
I created a report in drill down concept. It is contain the name, grope name, work ID, work name and date as row level then budget and actual as column level. But now I need to  create a report as name only in row level and budget and actual as column level. When I drill down name it expand similar row level mentioned above. It is possible to achieve drill down concept in report studio?
Here I have to use dimensional package and cross table structure. Please let me how to achieve this drill down concept in report studio.

Thank you in Advance.

Hi,

You can enable drill down (and drill up) by selecting the "Data" option on the menubar and selecting "Drill behaviour" then checking the "Allow drill-up and drill-down" checkbox. Is this what you mean?

... grope name ...

Oh dear. I hope that isn't really the name of a level in your cube. Oh dear. Very unfortunate if so :)

Hi MFGF,
Thank you for your response,  I heard apology for mistakenly typed row level group name. I achieved drill down concept in report studio. But now I want to do expand and collapse model. Here name is the only row field visible while running the report initially. When click the name, detail report expand that selected name only again click that name it is back to initial stage. I need your help to complete this report using java script or some option.

Thank you again MF.

Hi,

Oh - ok, you want expand and collapse not drill-down and drill-up?

The easiest solution is to give users access to Cognos Workspace Advanced which supports expand and collapse natively

Alternatively there are javascript solutions available, but I don't do javascript :)

It has to be a dimensional package to allow drill-down/up and expand, yes. You won't see the options with a relational package. You already posted elsewhere that you have a dimensional package, didn't you? Or did I dream it? :)

Have a nice day,
